Biography of Eric A. Spanitz
Eric A. Spanitz is president and founder of Spanitz Consulting, Inc. and president and founder of Synergest, Inc. Eric is a successful consultant, project manager, and group facilitator. He brings real-life and practical experiences and techniques to both projects and interactive workshops. When Symantec was about to release their project management application Time Line for DOS, Eric was brought on as a Trainer and Consultant in their project management group. He developed, taught, and customized classes for several Symantec management-support applications. While working with Symantec, he was the official source of training for Time Line 6 for Windows, enabling the certification of other authorized training centers from around the world. Spanitz Consulting was a Symantec Authorized Training Center, and Eric was a Symantec Premier Consultant. In 1995, Eric became the Director of the Midwest Region for Project Mentors, a California-based international project management training company. While serving in that role, he acted as a liaison between the main office and non-main office employees. He also designed and wrote several popular seminar student manuals. In addition to being the busiest trainer for the organization, Eric regularly conducted train-the-trainer sessions for both internal and external trainers. He also represented the company at executive briefings and formal presentations. Eric has over sixteen years of experience in training and consulting. He has researched, designed, and conducted introductory through advanced seminars, both private and public, for multi-cultural audiences worldwide. His audiences have consisted of people throughout organizations; from secretaries to military commanders. In addition to writing several manuals himself, Eric has served as a technical reference for other writers. Eric has been interviewed by national publications as an expert in the practical use of technology. Eric currently serves on the Small Business Advisory board for USA Today. Eric has presented papers and given keynote addresses at international conferences, such as the Project Management Institute (U.S. and Canada), the Public Service Managers Association, the Canadian Federal Professional Development Conference, the International Society of Performance Improvement, and the International Ticketing Association. As president of Synergest, Inc. Eric leads a highly qualified team of management consultants with offices in the United States, Canada, England, Nigeria, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, and Argentina who serve clients worldwide. Synergest provides project management, quality management, ISO 9001:2000, and performance improvement consulting, training, and organizational change solutions.
